Hello darling,

Welcome back to the blog! It’s one of those quiet mornings here at home, the kind where the weather feels crisp, and the day holds a certain stillness. I’m sitting by the window in my cosy office with a cup of tea beside me, the kind that warms your hands and your heart. My daughter is off at nursery, and the house feels a little too quiet without her giggles echoing through the halls.

Breakfast today was simple, just some toast with jam and a handful of berries, but enough to get me started. My Bible is resting on the desk next to me, open to a passage I prayed over this morning. I love these moments of reflection when I can soak in God’s Word and let it guide my heart before the bulk of the day starts. As I sit here, I’m reminded of something that’s been on my heart lately: the importance of turning to God, especially when making decisions. Let me share what He’s been teaching me.

The Importance of Turning to God

When it comes to decision-making, I’ve learned that trusting God is essential. Life presents us with countless choices, and the pressure to make the right ones can feel overwhelming. But the truth is, God is our ultimate helper and guide. Just as students might glance at their peers’ work for answers during an exam, how much more should we turn to God for wisdom and direction in life’s big decisions?

Taking Steps of Faith

One thing that stands out to me is how God’s guidance often unfolds when we take a step of faith. It’s like a GPS that only starts giving directions once you begin moving. The moment we choose to step out in faith, even if we don’t fully understand the path, God starts to reveal the next step. It’s in this movement that His voice becomes clearer, leading us in the way we should go.

The Consequences of Rushing Ahead

I’ve also realized how vital it is to consult God before making decisions. When I’ve rushed into choices without seeking Him, it has often led to paths filled with hardship and regret, places I never needed to go. Yet, even when I’ve wandered off course, God’s mercy and grace have been there to guide me back. That’s the beauty of walking with the Lord: even our missteps can become lessons in faith.

Overcoming the Fear of the Unknown

Sometimes, we face decisions that seem daunting like leaving a job, moving to a new place, or stepping out into the unknown. Fear of the unknown can keep us paralyzed, but choosing to trust God is a decision in itself. Often, His plans don’t align with the world’s logic. What might feel like a leap off a cliff is actually stepping into His perfect plan.

The Power of Prayer in Decision-Making

There have been moments when prayer has made all the difference. Before making a major decision, I’ve prayed and felt a sense of hesitation that I couldn’t ignore. Looking back, I can see how God was protecting me from choices that would have led to challenges I wasn’t prepared for. Trusting Him requires letting go of our need for control and believing that He is working all things together for our good, even when it doesn’t make sense at the moment.

Faith Brings Peace

Faith doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we can face life’s challenges with hope. When I’ve chosen to follow His guidance, even in times of uncertainty, He has always provided. It’s in those moments of obedience and surrender that I’ve experienced His peace, a peace that surpasses understanding.

God’s Ways Are Higher

God’s ways often defy human logic, and that’s what makes trusting Him so beautiful. He sees the bigger picture when we can only see what’s right in front of us. Faith requires stepping out, sometimes without all the answers, but knowing that He is with us every step of the way.

Seek Him First

So, if you’re facing a decision today, take it to God in prayer. Seek Him first, as Matthew 6:33 reminds us: “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Let go of the fear, trust His timing, and take that step of faith. Even if the path ahead isn’t clear, His direction will become evident as you move forward.

Trust the Process

Trusting God in decision-making is not always easy, but it’s always worth it. Remember, miracles from God don’t always make sense. They require faith, faith to walk in obedience, faith to let go of control, and faith to believe that His plans are good.

Whatever you’re facing, trust Him. He is faithful, and He will lead you exactly where you need to be.

As I sit here finishing my tea and looking out at the cloudy sky, I’m reminded of how faithful God is in every season. Whether it’s big life decisions or the little choices we make every day, He’s always there, ready to guide us when we turn to Him.

If you’re trying to make a decision right now, I hope this encourages you to pause, pray, and seek His wisdom. Keep your Bible close, darling it’s your lifeline to His promises. And don’t forget to take a moment to breathe, reflect, and trust that He’s got everything under control.

May your day be filled with His peace and direction. And if this post resonated with you, I’d love to hear your thoughts or prayers. Let’s keep lifting each other up as we trust God with every step of our journey. Until next time, take care and stay grounded in Him!

Sending blessings your way!
