Hello darling,
Welcome back to the blog! Behind the scenes, life isn’t always as put together as it seems, and today was a perfect example. You know those mornings when everything feels like it’s moving in slow motion? That was me. I woke up with a slight headache and, instead of my usual early start, found myself two hours behind schedule and my daughter was too.
It’s one of those days where she has a half-day at nursery, and I like to make sure she has a proper breakfast, snacks, and lunch all prepped beforehand. But let me tell you, getting it all done while brushing her hair, getting myself ready, and trying to not lose my cool felt like a miracle in itself. Something had to give, and today, it was my usual gym time.
After dropping her off, I took a moment to reset. I grabbed a cosy blanket, sat in my office, and prayed. In that stillness, I felt a calling to write this blog post before tackling the rest of my day. I want to share what’s been on my heart lately, about faith, perseverance, and trusting God even when life feels messy and out of sync.
So grab a cup of tea, and let’s get talking. I’ve got some encouragement for you today!
Meditate on God’s Word, Don’t Claim Negative Thoughts
In a world filled with distractions and doubts, meditating on God’s Word is one of the most powerful ways to stay grounded in His truth. I recently heard a testimony that deeply resonated with me, reminding me of the importance of faith, perseverance, and trusting God’s promises in every area of life.
Meditating on God’s Word
Meditating on scripture isn’t about emptying your mind but filling it with the truth of God’s Word. Consistently reflecting on scripture turns it into a source of strength, wisdom, and peace.
Psalm 1:2-3 says:
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers.”
When we allow God’s Word to take root in our hearts, it transforms our outlook, helping us respond to challenges with faith instead of fear.
Don’t Claim Negative Thoughts
One powerful truth I learned is the importance of rejecting negative thoughts. The enemy often sows seeds of doubt, fear, and insecurity, but as believers, we are called to counter these lies with God’s truth.
When thoughts like “I’m not capable” or “This will fail” arise, declare scriptures such as Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
By refusing to claim the lies of the enemy and standing on God’s promises, we renew our minds and walk in His victory.
Trusting God with Finances and the Future
Starting a business or stepping into any new venture often feels uncertain, but it’s also an opportunity to trust God as our ultimate provider. When we honour Him with our resources, He honours our faithfulness.
Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
This verse encourages us to surrender control, knowing that God is faithful to guide and provide. His timing is perfect, and He equips us for every task He calls us to.
Faith in Action
Faith without action is incomplete (James 2:17). As believers, stepping out in obedience to God’s calling allows us to experience moments where His provision and plans align perfectly. These opportunities remind us that when we trust and obey, He opens doors no one can shut.
Surround Yourself with Encouragement
The journey of faith can feel overwhelming, but God often places others around us to offer encouragement. Whether through prayer, testimonies, or a scripture shared at the right moment, these reminders strengthen our faith and affirm that we are never alone.
Final Encouragement
Meditating on God’s Word and rejecting negative thoughts are daily practices that shape how we walk with Christ. Whatever you’re facing starting something new, navigating uncertainty, or waiting on His promises know that His Word is a solid foundation, His love is unwavering, and His plans are perfect.
Take time today to read some scripture, declare God’s truth over your life, and step forward in faith. You were created for this moment, and He is with you every step of the way, working all things together for your good.
Trust Him. Stay rooted in His Word. Walk boldly in His purpose.
Thanks for spending this moment with me. If your day’s been anything like mine messy, slow, and unpredictable, I hope this has encouraged you to pause and find peace in God’s Word. Life doesn’t always go to plan, but that’s where faith steps in.
Take this as your reminder that even in the chaos, God’s got you. He’s working all things for your good, shaping your journey, and leading you step by step. Whatever you’re juggling today, dreams, challenges, or just getting through lean on Him.
I’d love to hear how God has been moving in your life lately! Share your thoughts in the comments, and let’s keep encouraging one another. Until next time, stay rooted in His promises, embrace the mess, and walk in faith.
You’ve got this because He’s got you! 💛
Sending blessing your way!
