Hello, my darling!

Welcome back to the blog. I’m sitting here on a chilly afternoon, wrapped up in my favourite oversized cardigan and soft leggings, with a cosy blanket over my lap. The rain is gently tapping on the window, and I’ve got a warm cup of spiced chai latte on the table beside me. I feel peaceful and grateful as I take a moment to pause, reflect, and send thanks to all of you, especially those who take the time to join me here. I’m so glad we’re able to share this space.

Today, I want to talk about something that’s been on my heart lately, lukewarm faith. There was a time when I was more concerned with what people thought of me than what God thought. I let the opinions and expectations of others guide my actions, and my relationship with God was lukewarm, to say the least. I know I’m not the only one who has struggled with this, many of us find ourselves living for the approval of others instead of seeking God’s approval. And this realisation hit me hard. It was the wake-up call I needed.

It’s easy to let the world shape how we live out our faith. We can get comfortable in the routine of church life and forget that God calls us to be radical in our devotion to Him. A while ago, I came across a powerful thought: “I didn’t fear the Lord, I feared people.” How many of us can relate to that, even just for a season? I’ve been there. I wanted to please everyone but God, and it led me to a place of spiritual stagnation.

But then I started reading stories of people who were deeply transformed by God, and I realised I wasn’t alone in this struggle. Many people, both new to their faith and those who had been following Jesus for years, had experienced a similar journey. One person shared how, after just six months of becoming a Christian, they completely changed their life. They stopped listening to secular music, changed the way they dressed, and even turned their showers into prayer time! This boldness in their faith really struck me and reminded me that giving ourselves fully to God is important, not holding anything back.

It’s easy to let small compromises slide holding onto old habits or keeping things that don’t honour God. But the more I hear about people who made bold decisions to follow God’s plan, like leaving a job that didn’t align with their faith or stepping away from environments that led them away from God, the more I realise how powerful God’s redirection can be. When we choose to live according to His plan, we find fulfilment that the world can never offer.

What’s been in my heart lately is the need for us to be bold in our faith. I know many of you have struggled with the fear of “exposing” your faith, especially in a world that pressures us to fit in. I totally get it. But here’s the truth: God didn’t call us to live a lukewarm life. He calls us to live for Him, unapologetically. It’s not always easy, but that’s what He asks of us.

Breaking free from lukewarm faith takes courage. For some of us, it’s a journey of letting go of past habits, stepping away from unhealthy relationships, or facing fears that hold us back. It’s a process that takes time. But I’ve learned that even when we struggle, God is always ready to bring us back. Even when we’ve wandered far, He’s right there, ready to restore us.

Some of you may feel lukewarm in certain areas of your life, maybe you’ve been neglecting prayer, or you’re unsure how to share the gospel with others. I want to encourage you today: It’s not about being perfect. It’s about progress. God is refining us each day, and every step closer to Him is a victory.

One of the most beautiful things I’ve seen is how we can support one another in this journey. We all need encouragement and prayer to strengthen our faith. If you’ve struggled with feeling lukewarm or with breaking old patterns, know that you’re not alone. There’s power in stepping out of that place and fully embracing what God has for us.

If you’re tired of living a lukewarm faith, if you’re ready to go all-in with God, I’m right there with you. Let’s pray for one another, encourage each other, and keep seeking His presence with all our hearts. As one person beautifully put it, “No more lukewarm faith, it’s time to burn for Jesus.” Let’s live boldly for Him because when we do, we experience the fullness of His love and the peace that only He can give.

Are you ready to break free from lukewarm living? I believe God is calling us to something far greater, and together, we can rise up in His power. Let’s do this!

Blessings to you! 💖
