Hello, my darling,

Welcome back to the blog! I’ve been thinking about some things lately, and I really wanted to share my thoughts with you today. Sometimes it’s easy to forget all the little ways God is working in our lives. But when I stop and take a look around, I realise just how much I’ve grown, and I see how God is shaping me every day.

There were times when I didn’t understand God’s plan for me. I’d question why things weren’t going the way I thought they should. But now, looking back, I can see that every step, even the tough moments, was part of His perfect plan to get me where I am today. I can feel His presence guiding me, whether it’s in my role as a wife, a mum, or just in my personal walk with Him.

One of the things I’ve been thinking about is how important it is to create a home that honours God. For me, it’s not just about keeping things clean and tidy (although that helps!). It’s about creating a space where love, grace, and peace can be felt. But let’s be honest, keeping a home peaceful and organised isn’t always easy! So, I’ve picked up a few tips that have really helped me. I thought I’d share them with you, in case they help you too!

1. Create a Schedule

Having a schedule has really helped me stay on top of everything. I’ve started planning out when I’m going to clean and organise things, and it really works! For example, every Sunday, I sit down and make a plan for the week, when to do laundry, when to tidy up the kitchen, and when to relax. I even schedule in housework time, so I don’t feel overwhelmed trying to do everything all at once. It’s been a game-changer!

2. Set Up a Cleaning Section

This one is so simple but really effective. I put all my cleaning supplies in one container and keep it in a central spot, like on an easily reachable shelf. That way, when I need to clean something, I don’t have to go hunting for the right supplies. It’s all in one place, and I can easily grab it and go from room to room.

3. Declutter Regularly

I used to think I had to spend hours organising, but now I focus on decluttering a little at a time. I try to get rid of things I don’t need every couple of weeks. If I see something I haven’t used in months, I’ll donate it. There are lots of challenges online for decluttering that have really helped me keep on track, and it makes such a big difference in how peaceful our home feels. I’d rather do small decluttering sessions often than spend hours organising everything.

4. Create Donation and Return Bags

I keep two bags in our laundry room one for donations and one for things I need to sell. This helps me keep the house from getting cluttered with things that don’t belong. Every month, I go through the bags and take everything to the charity shop or sell. It’s so helpful to have a dedicated spot for these things.

5. Work Smarter, Not Harder

This is a big one for me! I used to think I had to do everything perfectly all the time, but I’ve realised it’s better to work smarter. Instead of deep cleaning the whole house every day, I’ll tackle one room or one task at a time. It keeps things manageable and allows me to focus on what really matters. And it’s okay if things don’t always get done on the first try, God gives me grace, and I can take things one step at a time.

6. Remember Your WHY

It’s so important to know why you’re doing the things you’re doing, especially when it comes to managing your home. For me, my purpose is to create a home that honours God, where love and peace are felt. Whether it’s cleaning, cooking, or just spending time with my family, I try to do it all with that purpose in mind. When I remember why I’m working, it makes everything feel more meaningful.

7. Take a Rest Day

And here’s one that I used to struggle with rest. I’ve learned that it’s okay to take breaks! Every job needs a day off, and so does running a household. I make sure to take at least one day a week where I don’t worry about cleaning or anything extra. This helps me recharge and stay motivated for the rest of the week.

I’m so grateful for these little moments of growth in my journey with God, and for the way He continues to guide me. Whether it’s through creating a peaceful home, working on myself, or simply taking time to rest, I see His faithfulness in everything I do.

Thank you, Lord, for Your strength and guidance in my life. I pray that as I continue to grow, I can reflect Your love in everything I do, whether it’s with my family, my work, or the simple things like sipping tea in my cosy living room.

Until next time, take care and be kind to yourself. You’re doing amazing!

Sending blessings to you!

Scherise. X

Hello, lovely friends! 🤍 How are you all doing? I hope your day is going well, whether you’re sipping on coffee that’s actually hot or reheating the same cup for the third time (we’ve all been there). Today was one of those rare mornings in my house where everything fell into place. My daughter, bless […]

Hey darling, welcome back to the blog! It’s a quiet morning here in England, and I’ve managed to carve out a bit of time for myself before the day truly begins. I’m sitting in my usual spot by the window, wrapped in a soft blanket, sipping a cup of green tea with a little honey, […]

Hello darling! 🤍Welcome back to the blog. Right now, I’m curled up on my sofa, feeling so relaxed as my little girl sleeping in her cot. The heater is on, making the room nice and toasty, and I’ve just made myself a warm drink that I call vanilla milk. It’s my go-to comfort drink, I […]
