Hello darling,

Welcome back to the blog! ✨

Have you ever had a moment where something simple takes you back to a memory so sweet and vivid that it feels like stepping into a time machine? That’s exactly what happened to me today while I was cooking. I decided to make a peach crumble, a dessert I had not made in years! As I pulled the ingredients together and the smell of warm peaches and buttery crumble filled the kitchen, it stirred up memories from my childhood that made my heart smile.

When I was little, we had a cooking apple tree in our garden, and my sister and I would spend some Saturday afternoons picking apples for my mum. She’d turn them into the most delicious apple pie. Or there were those late summer days when my sister and I would go blackberry picking together, staining our hands and clothes with the deep purple juice, then sprinkling sugar on the berries to snack on them fresh. Those moments, so simple and ordinary at the time, have become some of my most cherished memories.

Now, as a mother, I find myself in a similar season, one of crafting little moments that, God willing, will become the foundation of sweet memories for my daughter. Whether it’s baking together, reading her favourite stories, or just spending time in the garden, I realise how precious these everyday moments truly are. It’s a beautiful reminder of the cycles of life and how God gives us opportunities to pass on love and joy in the most tangible ways.

Today, as the peach crumble baked in the oven, my daughter played nearby, occasionally peeking in to see if it was ready yet. Watching her little face light up when she finally got to taste it reminded me how much joy there is in sharing what we create with those we love. It’s these moments, filled with laughter, curiosity, and connection, that I hope she’ll one day look back on as I do my own childhood memories.

Life can get busy, and it’s easy to overlook these small, quiet moments. But today reminded me to slow down and treasure them because they’re the building blocks of a joyful life.

Have you ever had a moment that transported you back to a special memory from childhood? I’d love to hear about it! Let’s celebrate the little things that make life so meaningful.

Sending many blessings to you!

Hello, darling welcome back to the blog! I’m sitting here in my cosy living room, sunlight streaming through the window (though it’s a bit cloudy, typical British weather), and I’ve been reflecting on something quite personal. You know, life has a funny way of bringing up old memories, doesn’t it? Especially when you least expect […]

Hello darling, Welcome back to the blog! It’s a quiet evening here, the sky fading into soft shades of purple and orange. The day has been busy, and now, as the world outside slows down, I’m here, nestled in a cosy corner with my Bible open and a gentle cup of mint tea by my […]

Hello, my darling! Welcome back to the blog. I’m sitting here on a chilly afternoon, wrapped up in my favourite oversized cardigan and soft leggings, with a cosy blanket over my lap. The rain is gently tapping on the window, and I’ve got a warm cup of spiced chai latte on the table beside me. […]
