Hello Darling,
Welcome back to the blog! Today I am, sitting at my desk, My coffee’s beside me, definitely cooler than when I first made it, but still giving me the energy boost I need. Today I wanted to talk about how we can build a foundation that’s rooted in God’s purpose. Here are three ways we can kick off 2025 with God at the centre: through a prayer board, a spiritual reset, and boosting our productivity while staying focused on His guidance.
1. Create a Prayer Board
A prayer board is so much more than just a vision board—it’s a sacred space to lay out your prayers, dreams, and affirmations, reminding you of God’s promises and your intentions for the year.
To start, gather a corkboard, poster, or whatever suits your style. Add some pictures, markers, sticky notes, or anything that makes the vision come to life. Here’s how you can organise it:
- List Your Prayers and Dreams: Write out specific areas where you want to see God move—health, relationships, career, personal growth, and spiritual depth.
- Scriptures and Affirmations: Include Bible verses that anchor your soul, like Jeremiah 29:11 or Philippians 4:13. Let these verses become reminders when challenges arise.
- Add Praise Points: Reserve space to track answered prayers, big and small. It’ll keep your faith strong and help you see how God’s been working in your life.
Once you’ve set it up, make it part of your daily routine. Use it to pray, reflect, and stay grounded. You’ll be amazed at how empowering it feels to see your prayers unfold.
2. Reset for the New Year
Before creating new goals, it’s vital to do a spiritual reset. Reflect, repent, and renew your commitment to God. A fast can be incredibly powerful for this, a time to create space for the lord to speak.
You could try social media fast, especially since many of us can lose hours scrolling through apps. Less screen time means more time to read scripture, pray, or simply sit in stillness. Start small if necessary, dedicating 15 minutes each day to quiet time. Let God refresh you in this space, sometimes, He moves in subtle ways that lead to a bigger shift.
If fasting isn’t an option for you, try a “habit audit.” Evaluate where your time goes and what habits might be pulling you away from God. Replace them with practices that create peace and spiritual growth. You might decide to read a chapter from the Bible each day or take a prayer walk. Whatever it is, make it a habit that aligns you with His will.
3. Build Productivity Around Faith
Productivity isn’t about ticking off boxes, it’s about using our time wisely and keeping God at the centre of all we do. Here are a few ideas to help you structure your days:
- Set Faith-Based Goals: Focus on spiritual goals that go beyond the usual New Year’s resolutions. Pray about areas where God wants you to grow this year.
- Create Daily and Weekly Habits: Set consistent habits that draw you closer to God. Start your day with prayer and dive into scripture. Dedicate Sundays as a “planning day” to review your prayer board, reflect on the week, and ensure your goals align with God’s will.
- Use a Habit Tracker: Keep track of habits like Bible reading, prayer, worship, or gratitude journaling. It’s a tangible way to stay motivated and see your spiritual growth in action.
Keep God at the Center
As we move into 2025, remember that our strength, peace, and purpose come from our relationship with God. Each prayer, each reset, and each habit will guide us toward a year that reflects His love and grace. The journey won’t be perfect, but with a prayerful heart and a willingness to grow, we can make 2025 a year that honours Him.
So, let’s step into this year with excitement and an open heart, trusting that God’s plans for us are greater than anything we could imagine. And when life gets overwhelming, just remember to lean into prayer, revisit your prayer board, and trust that He’s got you every step of the way.
Sending blessings your way!
