Hey, darling, as I sit here drinking my tea, I can’t help but feel excited for today’s topic. This is something I have truly loved, which is interesting since I’m someone who personally really disliked hosting any events! Have you ever felt God nudging you to connect with other women in your church or community? Do you have a desire to create a space where women can learn from each other, grow in faith, and support one another? If so, hosting a Titus 2 event might just be the perfect way to do that!
You might be wondering, what exactly is a Titus 2 event? Well, in the Bible, in the book of Titus, Paul encourages older women to teach and guide younger women in living godly lives. It’s all about helping each other grow in faith, loving our families, and supporting one another in our walk with God. A Titus 2 event is all about creating that opportunity for women to come together, share wisdom, and lift each other up.
But I totally get it. it can feel a little intimidating to organise something like this. One of the first things I thought about was, who do I invite? Sometimes, it can be easy to think about groups in terms of “who fits in”. But as believers, we are called to welcome all women, no matter where they are in life. A Titus 2 event isn’t about being exclusive; it’s about inviting women to come as they are and grow together. He calls us to be inclusive and to love all women, no matter where they are in their walk with God.
Being Intentional About Your Guest List
When you’re planning your Titus 2 event, be intentional about who you invite. It’s not about inviting only “together” women. It’s about having a good mix of women, some who are older and more experienced in their faith, and others who are newer to the walk. This way, the older women can share their wisdom, and the younger women can bring fresh energy and perspectives. It’s all about learning from each other!
Don’t feel like your event has to be huge or super fancy. It could be something as simple as inviting a few women over for coffee or hosting a casual dinner. The important thing is that you’re gathering together to encourage one another and grow in your faith.
Hospitality and Fellowship Are Key
I know that the idea of hosting can feel a little overwhelming. Maybe you’re thinking your house isn’t “perfect” or you don’t have everything in place yet. But here’s the thing, God isn’t looking for perfection. He just wants you to open your heart and your home to others. When you do that, women will feel loved and welcomed, and God will bless your efforts!
If you’re feeling unsure about where to start, don’t stress! I’ve been there. The key is stepping out in faith and trusting that God will guide you. You don’t have to have everything figured out, you just need to be willing to take that first step.
What Does a Titus 2 Event Look Like?
A Titus 2 event can look different for everyone. You could invite an older woman to share her wisdom, or you could focus on having a relaxed space where women can talk, share struggles, and learn from each other. It’s all about creating a space where women feel comfortable enough to grow in their faith together.
You might plan a few discussion questions or pick a theme to talk about. The point is to create an environment where women can be encouraged, challenged and strengthened in their walk with God.
Take Action and Host Your Own Event
If God is stirring your heart to host a Titus 2 event, I’m so excited for you! But if you haven’t taken the leap yet, I encourage you to pray about it. Maybe God is calling you to be the one who starts something in your community, a place where women can come together, learn, and encourage one another in their faith.
I truly believe that Titus 2 gatherings are a powerful way to build up women and strengthen the church. Whether you keep it small and intimate or make it a larger gathering, God will use it to bring women closer to Him and to each other.
So, Women of God, let’s rise up! It’s time to start gathering, teaching, and loving each other in a way that reflects Christ’s love for us.
I’m praying for you as you step out in faith. May God bless your efforts and use your event to bring women together and help them grow in faith.
With lots of love and excitement,
Scherise. X
