Welcome back to the blog! Today while I was thinking about God’s plan for my life, I could not help but feel filled with a deep sense of gratitude. It’s a thought that stayed with me today as I spent time in the garden, tidying up while my two-year-old daughter played nearby. We recently got her a little playhouse and slide, and watching her joy as she explored them made me feel so happy.
There’s something about being in the garden, working with my hands, surrounded by creation, that brings me a sense of peace. It reminds me of how God tends to our lives, carefully pruning and preparing us for growth. As my daughter slid down her slide, laughing without a care in the world, I thought about the kind of trust she has in me. It’s the same trust God calls us to have in Him, knowing He is always there, guiding and providing for us.
Today, amongst the laughter and the simple satisfaction of clearing the weeds, I was reminded of how God’s plans are often revealed in the quiet, ordinary moments. Let me share with you how I’ve seen His faithfulness unfold in my life and why I’m confident that His plans for each of us are more beautiful than we could ever imagine. 🌱
I’ve come to realise that God’s plan for my life is far greater than anything I could have ever imagined. The more I think about the journey I’ve walked with Him, the more I feel a deep sense of gratitude. There was a moment, not too long ago, that marked the beginning of this incredible adventure with God — Feb 4th. This day marks the first anniversary of my commitment to fully surrender my life to walk with God. I still remember the choice I faced that day: I could continue to live according to my own desires, or I could let go and step into the unknown, walking the path that God was calling me to. I chose the latter and looking back, I can confidently say that it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The change that followed has been both humbling and inspiring.
Astonished by His Work
Since that day, I’ve been astounded by how God has worked in my life in ways that I could NEVER have predicted. He has shown me more grace, strength, and wisdom than I ever thought possible. There have been moments where I’ve felt unworthy of His blessings, yet He continues to pour them out. He has tested me, refined me, healed me in areas I didn’t even know were broken, and filled me with a sense of peace that surpasses understanding. Every single day of this year has felt like an adventure, full of new revelations and challenges that have ultimately brought me closer to Him. While not every day has been easy, I can now say with absolute certainty that the path He has set before me is one of hope, growth, and a future full of His promise.
Clinging to His Promises
Throughout this year, one verse has been a constant anchor in my heart, especially when I felt uncertain about the direction of my life: Jeremiah 29:11. It says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This verse has given me so much comfort in times of doubt and confusion. Whenever I’ve found myself wondering why things weren’t working out as I expected, I’ve returned to this promise. It serves as a reminder that God’s plans are always good, He is not just waiting for us at the end of our journey; He is with us every step of the way, even in the unknown. And His plans are far greater than anything I could have imagined on my own.
Moments of Doubt and Refinement
Even with the reassurance of His promises, there have been moments when I’ve doubted His plan for me. Life doesn’t always unfold in the way we expect, and there have been days when the road ahead seemed unclear. I’ve questioned why things weren’t happening as I had envisioned or why doors seemed to close just as I was about to walk through them. But in those very moments of uncertainty, I’ve felt God’s presence more deeply than ever. It’s as if He’s whispered, “Trust Me, even when you don’t understand the bigger picture.” Those times have been some of the hardest, as I’ve learned that God’s timing and methods are perfect, even if they don’t align with my own. Through it all, my faith has been refined, and I’ve become more reliant on Him than ever before.
Trusting in His Timing
There have been days, especially when things felt out of my control when I’ve wrestled with impatience. I wondered why things weren’t happening at the time I expected. Sometimes, I’d see others around me progressing in their careers, relationships, or other areas of life, and I’d feel like I was falling behind. But God has shown me that His timing is perfect. There’s a verse in Ecclesiastes 3:11 that says, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” I’ve come to realise that God’s plan isn’t bound by my own schedule, He sees the whole picture, from beginning to end, and He knows exactly when the right time will come. If you’re feeling like your breakthrough is taking too long, remember that God’s timing is never too late. Trust that He is preparing you for something even better than you could imagine.
Examples of His Perfect Timing
I’ve seen God’s perfect timing reflected in the lives of others as well. One of my friends shared how, after years of waiting, God provided a job opportunity that was more than she could have ever imagined. She had reached a point where she thought she would never find the right fit, but just as she was about to give up, God opened a door that was even better than her expectations. A reader of this blog also shared via email, how God’s timing worked out perfectly in her relationship. She had been waiting for a partner for what seemed like forever, and just when she had almost given up hope, she met the person she was meant to marry. These testimonies serve as powerful reminders that even when we can’t see the whole picture, God is at work behind the scenes, orchestrating everything for our good.
The Waiting Season
One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned in this journey is how to deal with seasons of waiting. It’s easy to feel stuck when things aren’t moving as quickly as we’d like. I’ve had moments when I felt overwhelmed by the waiting, and it seemed like nothing was happening. But in those moments, I’ve learned to lean into God’s presence, knowing that waiting isn’t wasted. God uses these seasons to prepare us for what’s ahead. Rather than fighting the waiting, I’ve learned to surrender to it. I’ve learned to trust that God is doing deep work in me during these times, moulding me into the person I need to be for the next season of life.
God’s Plan is Timeless
Another beautiful thing about God’s plan is that it’s not confined to the world’s timeline. There are times when we feel like we’re running out of time, or like we’re too far behind to catch up with others. But God’s plans are not limited by age, social status, or cultural expectations. He is outside of time, and He sees the beginning from the end. I’ve had moments where I’ve felt like I should be further along in life, but I’ve learned that God is never late. His plan unfolds at just the right time. Whether you’re waiting for a job, a partner, or a healing, know that God’s plan for you is unfolding at exactly the right pace.
All Things Work Together for Good
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” This has been a powerful verse for me. It reminds me that no matter what happens, God is using everything for good. The difficult seasons, the moments of doubt, the failures, the successes, they all work together to fulfil His purpose in my life. Even in the hardest of times, I can trust that He is at work, shaping me, growing me, and drawing me closer to Him.
Trusting God Daily
What I’ve learned more than anything else is that trusting God is a daily decision. There are days when I feel uncertain or when I want to take control. There are moments when I get frustrated with the waiting when I want answers now. But I’ve learned that trusting God isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about surrendering each day to Him, choosing to trust that He knows what He’s doing, even when I don’t understand. The beauty of this journey is that we don’t have to walk it alone. We have a faithful God who is with us every step of the way, guiding us, loving us, and fulfilling His perfect plan for us.

If you’re in a season of uncertainty, or if you’re struggling to see the purpose in your situation, I encourage you to hold on to this truth: God has a plan for you. It’s a plan filled with hope, prosperity, and a future. Even when the path isn’t clear, trust that God is working behind the scenes. His ways are higher than our ways, and His timing is perfect. Keep walking with Him, and you will see His plan unfold in ways that you never could have imagined. Just like I’ve experienced, you’ll look back one day and see that every step of the journey was part of His beautiful, perfect plan.
As I wrapped up my time in the garden today, I couldn’t help but reflect on how God uses even the smallest moments to remind us of His presence and purpose. Just as I tidied up the garden to make space for growth, He is always at work in our lives, preparing us for what’s ahead. Watching my daughter play with complete trust and joy reminded me of the kind of faith God desires from us, a faith that rests in His love and believes in His plan, even when we can’t see the whole picture.

Trust in His timing, lean into His promises, and know that His plans are always for your good. Even in seasons of waiting or uncertainty, He is crafting something beautiful.
