Hey, darling!

Welcome back to the blog! I’ve got to be honest with you life has been a whirlwind lately. Between laundry piles that seem to multiply on their own, making sure dinner doesn’t end up as charcoal, and trying to create meaningful content (oh, and don’t even get me started on the toddler snack situation!), I’ve realised just how essential prayer has become in all of this. Honestly, without it, I think I’d be lost in the shuffle. That’s why I wanted to share something really personal with you today. Prayer has been my anchor in the craziness, and after hearing some of the beautiful stories you’ve shared with me, I felt so inspired to reflect on what prayer really means, not just in the big moments, but in the everyday grind. So grab your favourite drink, kick back, and let’s talk about how prayer is so much more than just asking for things it’s about inviting God into the mess of it all, right alongside us.

Let’s explore what prayer truly means.

PUSH: Pray Until Something Happens

This acronym, shared by one of you, is such a timely reminder that prayer isn’t just about asking—it’s about perseverance. But what’s even more profound is that when something happens, we should keep praying. Our relationship with God is ongoing, not transactional. It’s about staying in communion with Him, not just receiving blessings.

When Prayer Seems Unanswered

Many of us have faced moments when our prayers didn’t turn out the way we hoped. One of you shared about praying fervently for a job that seemed perfect, only to face rejection. Yet, your response was to ask God to work on your heart to understand why it was a “no” for now. Sometimes, God’s “no” or “not yet” is His way of redirecting us to something greater.

The Consent of Prayer

Another email shared a humbling thought: God, being a gentleman, doesn’t force His will on us. Prayer is us giving God consent to work in our lives. Isn’t that a beautiful idea? God respects our free will, and through prayer, we invite Him to move as only He can.

Praying Through the Pain

For those facing hardships, prayer becomes an anchor. Some of you shared how prayer has kept you hopeful during difficult times, while others asked for prayers for healing or guidance. These testimonies remind us that prayer is both a lifeline and a source of strength.

Praying Scripture and His Promises

One of you shared that praying Scripture empowers your faith. You don’t have to quote it word for word—just bringing the Word into your prayers can help align your heart with His truth. His promises are sure, and when we speak them back to Him, it builds our confidence in His faithfulness.

The Power of Community in Prayer

Another testimony highlighted the importance of praying for one another. There’s something incredibly powerful about praying for others. It not only blesses them but often brings breakthroughs in our own lives.

A Reminder: Keep It Simple

Whether your prayers are long or short, eloquent or messy, God hears them all. One email reminded me that the how doesn’t matter nearly as much as the heart behind it. Prayer is about showing up, being honest, and letting God into every corner of our lives.

Faith and Action Go Hand in Hand

One testimony shared the inspiring story of packing bags in faith, believing God for a job and a home in a new city. Even when the initial doors closed, they continued to trust in His provision. That’s what faith-filled prayer looks like—not just words but actions that reflect trust in God’s timing.

Celebrating the Wins

I couldn’t help but smile at the story of someone who recently got baptised! What a beautiful testament to God’s work in their life. Moments like these remind us of why we keep praying and trusting.

Encouragement

To everyone who feels like their prayers are unheard, know this: God sees you. He hears you. The Holy Spirit intercedes on your behalf with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Even when you can’t find the words to pray, God knows your heart. Keep showing up in prayer because He is faithful.

Prayer isn’t just a practice; it’s a privilege. It’s our way of connecting with our heavenly Father, pouring out our hearts, and inviting Him into every aspect of our lives. Thank you, sisters for sharing your hearts and testimonies. Let’s keep lifting one another up in prayer, standing firm in faith, and trusting that God will do exceedingly and abundantly above all we could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Okay, I’m sitting here reading through all the incredible stories you’ve shared, and I just feel so blessed to be walking through this with you. Prayer is such a beautiful thing. Especially when we realise that it’s not about having it all together, or saying the perfect words. It’s just about being real and letting God into the midst of the craziness, whether that’s in the middle of folding laundry or trying to keep a toddler from eating only cookies for dinner. And if you’ve ever felt like your prayers are going unanswered, trust me, I’ve been there too. But remember, God’s always listening, He sees the mess, the hustle, and the heart behind it all. So don’t stop praying, even on the days when it feels like nothing’s happening. He’s always working, even when we can’t see it. Thanks again for sharing your hearts with me, it’s such a gift to be part of this journey with you. Let’s keep praying, keep trusting, and keep inviting Him into all of it. And don’t forget, you’re not in this alone. You’ve got this, and so does God.

Sending blessings your way!

Scherise. X
