How are you feeling? And how has your journey been lately?

COVID has given us all a lot of time to reflect. It has revealed so much to us that we were previously ignoring or were unaware of. This pandemic has made us slow down and pay attention to what really matters in life.

I was always on the go, running my virtual company from my laptop, and travelling around London to meet new people and attend networking events. I loved the life I had, but I never realized that the small breaks I scheduled in my calendar to celebrate my wins or meditate were just not enough. It was only when I slowed down that I realized how much I had been ignoring and how many issues I had been unconsciously avoiding.

I know I’m not alone in this experience. In 2020, you may have also uncovered things about yourself. These things, whether positive or negative, were uncovered for a reason. Perhaps it’s something that you need to work through, or maybe it’s something you need to acknowledge and accept.

Uncovering certain truths about my life was not easy, but it has changed me for the better. I have always been a type-A person, and with God’s help, willpower and determination have helped get me to where I am today. But to keep evolving, I have realized that I need to give myself some grace and allow myself to take a step back sometimes.

One thing I have learned on my journey is that sometimes in order to move forward, you need to take a step or two backward. My partner and I recently moved in together and started renting, which might seem like a step back to some people. But we have our eyes set on the future, and this is a strategic decision that will allow us to take bigger leaps forward in the long run.

Taking a step back is never easy, but it is worth it to evaluate your current position and figure out what you really need to move forward. Remember that life and business are never a straight road – sometimes it is about taking a few steps back to prepare for your next big leap.

Take care of yourself and keep pushing forward. I’ll talk to you soon.

Scherise. 🤍

Hello, my darling, Welcome back to the blog! I’m sitting here in my cosy living room, one of my favourite places to unwind after a busy day. The rain is softly tapping against the window, which makes the room feel even more snug. I’ve got my comfy jumper on and a cup of vanilla tea […]

Hello, darling welcome back to the blog! Today started like any other in our little home. My daughter was up early, enthusiastically (and noisily) deciding that breakfast should involve yoghurt and whatever crumbs were left in the biscuit tin. Meanwhile, I was perched by the window with a cup of tea—barely warm because, let’s be […]

Hello darling! Welcome back to the blog! I’m so glad you’re here. Right now, I’m curled up on the sofa, enjoying the quiet. My little one is fast asleep in her cot, the heater’s on, and it’s nice and warm in here. I just made myself a warm drink—just some milk with nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, […]
