Hello, my darling,

Welcome back to the blog! I’m sitting in my cosy living room. Even though it’s a bit chilly today (because, let’s face it, it’s the UK!), the warmth of my space still makes everything feel just right. I’ve got a steaming cup of hot chocolate in my hand, rich and creamy with a touch of cinnamon. It’s so comforting, the way the drink warms me from the inside out. I feel good because I’ve just finished my morning skincare routine, and the whole house is still asleep. It’s just me, writing quietly on a Saturday morning, soaking in this peaceful moment. The room is filled with soft, golden light, and there’s a stillness around me that makes it feel like a little retreat from the outside world.

Today, I want to talk about Praying for Our Families.

It has become so clear how powerful prayer is, not only for us but for the people around us, especially our families. It’s something that has truly shaped my life and my walk with the Lord. Prayer is an ongoing conversation with God, and over the years, I’ve found that it can cover every area of our lives, from the mundane to the deeply personal.

One area of prayer that has been in my heart lately is praying for the future spouses of my child. I was recently reminded of how important it is to lay a foundation of prayer for future generations, even when we don’t know them yet. Praying for wisdom, godliness, love, and emotional stability in their future homes is such a powerful way to intercede on behalf of both our children and their future families. It’s an act of faith that God is already at work in those lives, even before we see the fruits.

Another aspect of prayer that has had an impact on me is praying for our husbands. Many of us have seen our husbands struggle with unanswered prayers, and it can be difficult to watch. I’ve had to learn that sometimes our prayers aren’t just about asking for specific outcomes but trusting in God’s perfect timing and purpose. As a wife, it’s important for me to support my husband in prayer while also encouraging him through my actions and words. Showing love and understanding, while praying for him, has been a reminder to trust God’s work in our marriage.

Praying for our husbands is something I encourage every wife to consider deeply. There are so many resources out there that can help guide you through this process and help you grow in how to lift up your husband in prayer. As we pray for them, we also allow God to work in us, growing us in love, patience, and understanding.

In addition to these personal reflections, I’ve found so much encouragement in learning how others approach prayer in their own lives. One thing I’ve really come to appreciate is how powerful it is to pray for those we love, no matter where they are on their journey. Whether it’s praying for a future spouse, a husband, or even our children, there is no prayer that is too small or insignificant.

I also want to acknowledge the struggles that many of us face as mothers and wives. Being a mum is hard, no one prepares you for the emotional and physical exhaustion that comes with raising little ones. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood and marriage, I want to remind you that you are doing enough. Keep leaning on God and praying for His wisdom. Prayer has been a lifeline for me in moments of uncertainty, and I want to encourage you to seek Him in your every need. He will guide you through the seasons of motherhood and marriage, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

I’ve heard from so many women who are going through the challenges of motherhood and wifehood, and I want to encourage you that no matter where you are, God sees you. If you’re feeling alone in your struggles, know that you are not. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking His guidance.

Lastly, I want to encourage you to make time for daily Bible reading (or at the very least weekly). It’s the cornerstone of my spiritual life, and I encourage you, no matter where you are in your faith, to make time for it. God’s Word is living and active, and it has the power to improve every area of our lives.

As we continue on this journey together, let’s keep praying for our families, our husbands, our children, and their future spouses. Let’s pray for wisdom, love, and godliness to be in our homes and in the homes of those we love. Above all, let’s pray for the peace that only God can provide to fill our hearts and homes, no matter the season we are in.

I’m so grateful for the encouragement and wisdom that we share with one another. Let’s keep growing in faith, keeping our eyes fixed on the Lord, and trusting that He is working all things for our good. God bless you all.

Scherise. X
