Hello darling,

Welcome back to the blog! Happy New Year, sisters in Christ! I pray this message finds you as excited about this fresh start as I am. Honestly, I’m feeling a new kind of energy this year, a God-centered one. Let me tell you, every January, I’ve made promises to myself: “This will be the year I get it together.” And I’d try, but always in my strength. It never worked out the way I hoped.

But this year, I’m doing it differently. I feel God calling me to do this year right, and that means starting with Him. Right now, as I’m writing this, my house is quiet, something that rarely happens, as some of you know! I waited until the daughter was asleep, turned off every distraction, and made this space feel calm. I lit my favourite vanilla-scented candle (its soft, sweet fragrance is my favourite thing), poured a warm cup of hot chocolate, and opened my Bible to Psalms.

I don’t know if you’ve ever had that moment when it feels like God is whispering, “Slow down and meet Me here.” That’s what this moment feels like. I can’t tell you how peaceful it is, sitting here, wrapped in a cosy blanket, finally allowing myself to breathe. And sisters, I want us to step into this new year with this same intentionality.

This year, let’s leave the frantic energy of “doing it all” behind and fully surrender to God’s leading. I’ve tried life without Him at the centre, and let me tell you, it doesn’t work. This time, I want to lean into Him completely, and I pray that you’ll join me in this journey.

A Year of RESToration and Purpose

For me, 2025 is a year of RESToration. After giving so much of myself to work and others last year, I initially thought God was calling me to rest. But He revealed something even greater: restoration. It’s more than just stopping to catch your breath; it’s about being renewed, rebuilt, and made whole again.

If you’ve felt drained, lost, or unsure of your direction, know that God is already working on your behalf. Whether it’s in relationships, health, or your spiritual walk, lean into His promises. He doesn’t just stop the chaos, He brings peace and renewal.

Drawing Closer to God

This year, I’ve committed to leaving lukewarm faith behind. It started with fasting and a deep intentionality to seek a relationship with God rooted in His Word. It’s amazing how calm and peaceful life can feel, even during storms, when you’re walking closely with Him.

As I’ve drawn closer to God, I’ve noticed my desires changing. The things that once consumed my attention, secular music, distractions, and worldly priorities have faded. My focus has shifted to aligning my heart with His will. Even desires I hadn’t considered before.

Turning Challenges into Testimonies

One of the most powerful lessons from last year is how God turns challenges into testimonies. A year ago, I faced what felt like impossible circumstances. By the end of the year, I was in a completely different place, free, peaceful, and positioned to receive what God has for me in 2025.

No matter what you faced last year, be encouraged: God is a redeemer. Every trial and setback can become a stepping stone for His glory. Trust His timing and His plan.

Becoming the Best Version of Yourself

Being the best version of yourself isn’t about worldly accolades or superficial changes. It’s about becoming who God created you to be. The best version of me is the one fully aligned with His vision for my life.

Here are some steps I’ve found helpful:

  1. Seek Him First – Spend time in prayer and immerse yourself in His Word. As Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
  2. Reflect on His Purpose – Ask God to reveal areas where He’s calling you to grow, heal, or step out in faith.
  3. Fellowship with Believers – Surround yourself with people who uplift and encourage you spiritually. There’s power in being part of a Christ-centered community.

A Year of No Limits

This year, I’m declaring: No more doubts or procrastination. No more limits on what God can do through me. He has placed dreams, talents, and callings within each of us. Now is the time to trust Him, step out in faith, and let His power work through us for His glory.

If you’re reading this, it’s not by accident. God is working on your behalf right now. Whether you’re in a season of waiting, restoration, or breakthrough, trust in His faithfulness. He knows you better than you know yourself, and His plans for you are good.

Before I end this blog post, I just want to say how grateful I am to have sisters in Christ like you walking alongside me in faith. Sometimes, it feels like life moves so fast we forget to check in with each other, to encourage each other, or even to remind ourselves to rest in God’s presence.

As I sit here, reflecting on what’s ahead for this year, I’m reminded of how much we all need moments like this. The behind-the-scenes preparation matters—the quiet time with God, the surrendering of our plans, and the decision to let Him take the lead.

Sisters, let’s make this a year of true fellowship—not just with each other but with the Lord. Share those quiet moments with Him. Light that candle, make a warm drink, open your Bible, and let Him speak to your heart. And don’t keep it to yourself! Let’s check in with one another, pray for one another, and encourage one another every step of the way.

This year is different because we’re not walking it alone. God is with us, and so is this beautiful community He’s placed us in. I’m excited about what He’s about to do in our lives. Here’s to a year of growing in faith, lifting each other up, and embracing all that He has in store for us.

With love and prayers,
Your sister in Christ 💕
