Hello darling 🤍
Welcome back to the blog! I know the struggle is real. Sometimes, it feels like the harder we try to walk in God’s purpose, the more resistance we face. Spiritual warfare isn’t something we talk about enough, but it’s something we all experience, whether we’re in the midst of it or coming out of it. Today, I’m opening up about how exhausting this journey can be, how easy it is to get caught in negative thoughts, and why we need to stay rooted in God, especially when life feels like a fight.
In life spiritual warfare is an inevitable reality. It’s a battle we face daily, sometimes we’re strong, other times, we feel weak. Today, I want to share my heart about how exhausting spiritual warfare can be, how easy it is to slip into agreement with negative thoughts, and why we must resist the temptation to seek comfort outside of God’s will.
Spiritual Warfare Is Real
The Bible reminds us in 1 Timothy 6:12 to “fight the good fight of faith.” Yet, there are moments when the fight feels too hard, and we’re tempted to give up. Like many of you, I’ve felt overwhelmed, drained, and even isolated in this struggle. But it’s always when we’re on the edge of breakthrough that our enemy fights the hardest.
We must hold onto that truth. The enemy knows the promises of God over our lives, and his mission is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But here’s the encouragement: God’s promises are greater than any attack we face.
Agreeing with Negative Thoughts
Let’s talk about our mindset. The enemy often plants seeds of doubt, fear, and discouragement. When we agree with those thoughts, we give them power. The enemy doesn’t fight what isn’t valuable. When we’re tempted to believe lies like “I’m not enough” or “God has forgotten me,” we must remember 2 Corinthians 10:4: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.”
A Trap We Must Avoid
When we’re tired, it’s easy to seek comfort in things that don’t glorify God. Maybe it’s going back to old habits, listening to secular music, or isolating ourselves from community. I’ve been there, seeking comfort in things that felt easier than staying rooted in God’s word.
But the key is turning to God, even in our exhaustion. False comfort may bring temporary relief, but it ultimately leads us further away from the joy and peace found in Christ.
Practical Ways to Fight Back
- Stay in the Word
Even when it’s hard, keep reading the Bible. The enemy fights hardest to keep us from God’s word because it’s a source of power and truth. - Praise and Worship
Worship shifts our focus from the problem to the One who holds the solution. - Community and Prayer
We are not meant to fight alone. Let’s pray for one another and lean into the body of Christ for strength. - Discernment
Not everything is a direct attack. Sometimes struggles come from natural consequences or God’s refining process. Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment to understand what you’re facing and how to respond.
Keep Going
If you’re tired of fighting, remember Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
God has equipped us with His strength to endure. Whatever the enemy tries to throw at you today will not win!
Let’s choose to magnify what God is doing in our lives instead of focusing on the enemy’s attacks. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37).
Spiritual warfare is tough, but it’s also a sign that you’re walking in God’s purpose. God is with us, lifts us up, washes us clean, and loves us wonderfully because He sees the version of us He created us to be.
Don’t give up, my brothers and sisters. Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep trusting. God is working in you and through you, even in a battle.
Let’s encourage one another. The victory is ours in Jesus’ name!
I know it’s tough, but we’ve got this. Spiritual warfare may be part of the journey, but the victory is already ours in Jesus’ name. Keep reading God’s Word, stay connected with your faith family, and don’t forget to praise your way through the battle. Remember, God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, and His promises will never fail.
Let’s hold onto that truth together and keep fighting the good fight. You are not alone, and you are more than a conqueror through Christ. Let’s keep encouraging each other and pressing on, because in Him, we’ve already won.
Sending blessings to you!
