Life is like a roller coaster filled with unexpected twists and turns. Just as the sun rises and sets, hardships pop up like surprise party guests, uninvited but determined to make an entrance. In this blog post, I want to share some insights that may help you when you are going through some challenges.

  1. The Many Faces of Hardships:
Hardships are like those surprise weather changes – you plan for a sunny day, but suddenly, it’s raining. From stubbing your toe on furniture to dealing with global pandemics, life seems to have a “unique” sense of humour in throwing us curveballs. These challenges remind us that even the best-laid plans can end up not working out. – so don’t be too hard on yourself, give yourself grace when creating plans.
  2. Lessons from Adversity:
Adversity’s like that strict teacher who insists on making us do math problems without a calculator. When life hands us lemons, it’s like telling us, “Hey, you wanted a challenge, right?” As we wrestle with these obstacles, we gain skills we didn’t even know we needed.
  3. The Power of Perspective:
Perspective, that wise old owl, shows up right after we’ve done something we’re not proud of, as if to say, “Told you so.” Looking back, we might realize that trying to assemble IKEA furniture without instructions wasn’t our brightest idea. But hey, at least we’ve mastered the art of creative furniture design, right?
  4. Choosing Wisely:
Life’s like a buffet of choices, and some dishes are tastier than others. In the chaos of challenges, we can either panic like a squirrel in a disco or channel our inner superhero. The lesson? Choose your response wisely – between an all-out meltdown and calmly navigating life’s obstacle course, one provides better moments.
  5. Earning Wisdom through Suffering:
It’s like god saying, “Congratulations, you’ve levelled up!” But let’s be honest, this kind of wisdom is more like the squats of personal growth – it burns, but it’s worth it.
  6. Embracing Acceptance and Healing:
Acceptance is like finding the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle under the couch. When we let go of resistance, we start the process of healing. It’s like telling god, “Alright, I am ready to listen.”

Life’s challenges are like unexpected guests crashing a party – we may not have invited them, but they teach us some dance moves. Through the power of choice and the wisdom gained from surviving life’s twists, we can get through difficulties with resilience and style. So, let’s learn to embrace the chaos, rock the healing, and remember, just like a cat landing on its feet, (there is always one that jumps over our garden fence most mornings 🤣) we all can rise, no matter how many falls we have taken.

Sending blessings to you,

Scherise. X

Books That Make Learning Fun Hello, darling, and welcome back to the blog. I thought it was about time for me to do a blog post on the collection of books that I’ve got for Keyana. I thought they would be great to put within the homeschool section. I have collected most of our books, […]

Hello darling! Welcome back to the blog! When it comes to homeschool, one thing I just want to add is that it’s okay to figure it out as you go. I’ve tried various routines, honestly, I’ve tried everything. In the beginning, I really thought I had to do a proper school-style routine, like a full […]
