Hello darling,

Welcome back to the blog! Today I want to talk about something that has been playing on my mind lately, gods timing. Waiting is one of the most challenging parts of life. Whether it’s waiting for a promotion at work, a change in our relationships, or answers to our prayers, we all know what it’s like to feel stuck in that space between “now” and “then.” I’ve struggled with waiting many times in my own life, but I’ve learned that God’s timing is always perfect. When I remember that He’s in control, my waiting feels less like a burden and more like an opportunity to trust and grow in faith.

Learning to Trust God’s Timing

I think one of the hardest parts of trusting God’s timing is letting go of my own plans. I’ve had moments where I wanted something so badly, whether it was a career opportunity, a personal goal, or even something as simple as a family vacation, but things just didn’t happen when I expected. It’s in these moments that I remind myself of Isaiah 60:22: “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” This verse has become my reminder that God’s timing is not only perfect, but it’s also for my good. I can’t rush it, and I shouldn’t try to.

For example, I remember waiting for a business opportunity that I thought was the perfect fit for me. I applied, went through the interview process, and then waited… and waited. I got anxious and frustrated. But eventually, I realised that this delay was God’s way of preparing me for something even better, something I couldn’t see at the time. And when the right opportunity came along, it was a perfect match. I couldn’t have forced that timing, but when it happened, I saw how perfectly it aligned with God’s plan for me.

The Waiting Game – How to Find Peace

If you’re waiting on something big, I know it can feel like it’s taking forever. Whether it’s waiting for a relationship to take the next step, waiting for financial breakthrough, or simply waiting for an answer to prayer, it’s easy to feel discouraged. But I’ve found that waiting is not wasted time when we make the choice to trust. God is preparing us for what He has in store, and He’s teaching us to lean into Him.

For instance, I’ve had moments where I felt like I was in a holding pattern in my life . I wanted to see progress and growth, but things felt stagnant. In those times, I started praying differently, asking God to help me find peace in the waiting rather than focusing on the delay. I spent more time in His word, praying for patience, and taking small steps toward my goals. And while I didn’t see immediate results, I began to feel a sense of peace because I knew God was working behind the scenes.

Here’s a tip: When you find yourself waiting, try to shift your focus from what’s not happening to what you can do in the present. Is there something you can learn during this time? Can you grow your skills or deepen your relationship with God? Trust that the waiting is part of your growth.

Faith Over Fear and Choosing Trust in the Unknown

One thing I’ve learned is that waiting often brings up fear. The fear of the unknown, fear of things not working out, fear of being stuck forever. But here’s where we can shift our mindset – instead of fearing what’s next, we can trust that God’s plans are better than anything we could have imagined.

I remember was waiting for a breakthrough in our finances. It felt like we were doing everything right—budgeting, working hard, and planning—but the results didn’t come as quickly as we hoped. I found myself getting anxious and worried about the future. But one night, I read Philippians 4:6-7, which says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

This verse helped me realise that peace doesn’t come from controlling the situation; it comes from surrendering it to God. When we let go of our fear and choose faith instead, we open the door for God’s peace to fill us. Now, every time fear creeps in, I remind myself that trusting in God’s timing brings peace, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Making the Most of the Waiting Season

Waiting doesn’t mean standing still. In fact, I’ve found that the more active I am in using the waiting season to grow, the more fulfilling it becomes. When I’m waiting on God to answer a prayer or open a door, I take it as an opportunity to strengthen my faith and focus on the things I can control.

One example is how I used a period of waiting in my career to focus on personal development. Instead of sitting around feeling frustrated, I decided to learn new skills, take courses, and get involved in activities that would help me grow. I found that waiting gave me the space to focus on becoming the person I needed to be for the next step in my journey. And when the time came for that new opportunity to present itself, I was ready.

Tip for you: If you’re in a waiting season, ask yourself what you can do to prepare for what’s next. Can you learn something new, develop a new habit, or invest in your relationships? Don’t just wait for things to happen, make the most of this time by growing in ways you may not have expected.

Trusting the Process

Trusting God’s timing isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it. The key is remembering that the waiting isn’t about doing nothing, it’s about trusting God’s process. Just like a seed needs time to grow into a tree, we need time for our hearts and lives to be shaped by God. And when His timing aligns with ours, it’s always the perfect moment.

When I look back at times of waiting in my life, I see how God used each one to refine me, to build my character, and to prepare me for the blessings He had waiting. Now, when I find myself in a season of waiting again, I remember that the process is just as important as the promise.

Final Tip: If you’re feeling stuck in your waiting season, remember that God is never late. He is always working behind the scenes, and His plan for you is bigger and better than anything you can imagine. Trust that when the time is right, He will make it happen. Until then, let’s choose to find peace in the waiting, knowing that His timing is always perfect.

Sending blessings your way!

Hi darling, Welcome back to the blog! If you’d told me years ago that I’d come to crave moments of quiet, I probably would’ve laughed and asked, “But what would I even do by myself?” My days used to be jam-packed with noise, 1000 email notifications, toddler giggles (and tantrums), and let’s not forget my […]
