Hello Darling,

Welcome back to the blog! šŸ¤ I’m so glad you’re here, and I pray that today’s blog post meets you right where you are. Life has its way of throwing us into seasons we never anticipated, moments where we feel like we’ve hit rock bottom and can’t see a way forward. If you’re in that place, I want to remind you of this: you’re not alone, and this is not the end of your story.

Today, I want to talk about those rock-bottom seasons that we all face at one point or another. These moments may feel overwhelming, but what if we saw them not just as hardships but as opportunities for growth, faith, and improvement?

Rock Bottom

As I sit here thinking about my own experiences and the messages I’ve received from others, I’m reminded that rock bottom seasons can actually be beautiful improvements. It’s in those moments of brokenness and despair that we often realise just how solid our foundation is in Christ. One of the readers of this blog shared, “Rock bottom is a beautiful encounter because that’s when you realise Jesus is that rock, a firm foundation.”

It’s during the darkest times that we truly experience God’s faithfulness. It’s when everything feels like it’s falling apart that we can be reminded of His love, His provision, and His promises.

God Never Leaves Us

Many of us can look back at times when we were at rock bottom and see how God never left our side. Even when things seemed impossible, God was there, holding us through our struggles. One of the readers shared, ā€œI’ve been to rock bottom more than once in 52 years. God never left me, He is so good!ā€ This is a testimony to the unwavering presence of God in our lives.

Even in moments when fear, worry, and anxiety try to take hold of us, we can be reminded that those feelings do not come from the Lord. As we lean into His Word, He brings peace and reassurance, even in the most difficult seasons.

The Strength of Faith in Trials

In times of hardship, it’s easy to question everything. But what I’ve learned is that in those moments, we often find ourselves drawing closer to God than ever before. One of the readers shared, ā€œI don’t know why I have so much faith in Him through this all. I trust the Lord and His mercy. He is doing the impossible behind the scenes.ā€ Even when life feels like it’s falling apart, our faith becomes a powerful tool that helps us through the storm.

Trusting God, even in the most trying moments, is a testament to the strength of our faith. It’s in these seasons of trial that we learn to lean fully on God, knowing that He is our strength and our shield.

Letting Go of What Holds Us Back

Sometimes, our rock bottom moments come from holding onto things that are not meant for us. One of the readers beautifully shared with me via email how they stayed close to a person who had already hurt them, thinking they could heal through that relationship. It wasn’t until they let go that they began to heal and move forward. Letting go of people, situations, or even expectations can be incredibly difficult, but God often uses these seasons to remove idols in our lives, to help us experience more that He has for us.

God’s purpose in these difficult seasons may be to realign us with His will. He may be calling us to step away from things that distract us from our true purpose in Him.

Trusting God in the Unknown

Rock bottom seasons can also teach us the importance of trusting God, even when we don’t understand His plan. One reader resonated with me when she shared how she had been battling with letting go of a job, even though she knew it was time to move on. ā€œI know He’s going to provide in the places where I need the provision,ā€ she said. And this is the truth we all must hold onto. Even when we can’t see the way forward, we can trust that God is guiding us, preparing us, and providing for us in ways we can’t yet imagine.

God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. As we surrender to His plan, we can find peace in the unknown, knowing that He is faithful and good.

Blessings in Disguise

Lastly, I’ve come to realise that sometimes, the blessings in our lives come disguised as challenges. Personally I went through a very hard season, during my pregnancy and my 1st year as a new mum. Something that helped me is that placed everything in God’s hands during this rock bottom season, and day by day, I saw His blessings unfold in my life. Even in our hardest moments, God is still at work.

When we trust God with our situations, we begin to see the blessings that He has for us, even in the midst of hardship. What may seem like a setback could be setting us up for something greater.

Lastly, I want to remind you that your rock bottom moment is not the end. It’s just the beginning of a new season where you can encounter God in a fresh way. Trust in Him, lean on His Word, and know that He is faithful. Even when everything feels out of control, God is working behind the scenes, shaping you, moulding you, and preparing you for what’s ahead.

Whatever you’re facing right now, know that you are not alone. God sees you, He hears you, and He is with you every step of the way. Keep trusting Him, and watch as He changes your rock bottom into a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness and love.

Sending blessings to you!

Scherise. X
