Hello, my darling,

Welcome back to the blog! I’m here, sitting on my cosy sofa, feeling the warmth of the sunlight streaming through the window on this chilly morning. The outside air is cold, but the sunlight is warming me up. With a fresh cup of coffee by my side and the lingering sweetness of hazelnut chocolate on my tongue, I’m reminded just how blessed I am. Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel, especially for each of you who take time out of your busy lives to visit the blog.

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about life and the journey of motherhood, especially in these chaotic and sometimes overwhelming seasons. It’s easy to feel like you’re juggling so many things at once, managing the household, caring for your kids, and trying to maintain some sense of peace for yourself. But in those moments of busyness and exhaustion, I’ve found that God’s timing is always perfect.

One thing I’ve learned on this journey is that God doesn’t leave us to do it alone. Even when we feel like we’re running on empty, He’s right there with us, ready to carry the load. In the midst of the messiness of motherhood, we often hear from God in unexpected ways. His words come in small, simple moments that might go unnoticed if we’re not paying attention.

I was recently reminded of this truth through a conversation with another mum. She shared that in her most chaotic moments, God’s voice is still there, guiding her. It was such a beautiful reminder that even when everything feels overwhelming, God is still at work, whispering to us, guiding us, and calling us closer to Him. I pray that each of us can hear His voice clearly, even when the noise of life is loud.

Another mum I spoke to shared something that really struck me, she said that creating space for herself, even if it’s just for a few minutes, was so important for her sanity. I couldn’t agree more! Whether it’s a quiet corner to pray or a few moments to just breathe and reset, creating space for yourself in the middle of a busy day is essential. Sometimes it’s these brief moments that help us reconnect with God and find peace in the chaos.

A lot of us, myself included, often find ourselves focusing on the tough stuff, the tantrums, the sleepless nights, the never-ending to-do lists. But I’ve been learning that we can choose our perspective in those moments. One mum shared her motto for the year, and it really resonated with me: “I can either get better or get bitter.” Isn’t that powerful? Life doesn’t always go as planned, but we can grow through the challenges. God uses these moments to refine us, to shape us into better versions of ourselves.

And it’s not just the hard stuff that God uses to grow us, He works through every part of our motherhood journey. Another mum of four shared how God was using my blog to help her, and I was so humbled to hear that. It’s a reminder that no matter what season we’re in, God can use us to touch others, to encourage, and to speak life into their hearts.

I’ve also been thinking a lot about how we can’t do it all in our own strength. Sometimes I do feel like I fall short as a mother. It’s easy to try to handle everything on our own, but we were never meant to. God is here to carry our burdens, and when we lean on Him, He provides all that we need.

For those of you in the newborn phase, I see you. One mum shared how hard it has been to find time with the Lord, especially being so newly postpartum. Trust me, I understand that struggle. The sleepless nights, the constant demands, it can feel like there’s no space for God. But let me reassure you: He’s with you, even in those quiet, hard moments. He’s right there, holding you close.

Motherhood isn’t easy, and none of us are perfect. We all have those moments when we’re triggered when we’re exhausted or frustrated. But these moments aren’t failures; they’re opportunities to rely more on God’s strength and walk in His grace.

Lastly, I want to share a powerful reminder I received recently: as mothers, we are called to look to God’s Word for wisdom, not the world’s perspective. It’s so easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to others or looking to social media for answers, but the best guidance comes from God. Let’s seek His wisdom in all things.

Whether you’re a mum, hoping to become a mum one day, or someone walking through a different season of life, I hope this blog post has encouraged you. We’re all in this together, and no matter where you are on your journey, God is with you every step of the way.

Sending many blessings to you!

Scherise. X

Hey darling, welcome back to the blog! So today’s blog post is a little different for me because I’m doing one specifically for parents. I’ve done a few posts recently, but funny enough, three blog posts basically came out of a morning when I was praying a lot and doing a stream of consciousness. There […]
