Today, I’m talking about finding balance in our emotions. Sometimes, we have things in our lives that feel almost too good to be true, and we worry that they might not last. Other times, we have feelings of frustration or resentment that weigh us down. I want to share how I’m learning to balance those emotions, especially in my relationship.

When I ask myself if there’s something in my life that feels too good to be true, my answer is yes—my relationship. It’s really special, and here are some of the things I love about it:

  • I have someone I can trust.
  • My partner is always there for me.
  • We can talk openly and share our thoughts.
  • We learn and grow together, encouraging each other.
  • We set goals together and celebrate each other’s progress.
  • I have a best friend and life partner in one person.

I feel blessed to have my partner’s support, especially when things get tough. He’s even made it possible for me to stay home longer with our daughter, who’s now two years old. That’s been a huge blessing.

But sometimes, I think things are too good to be true. I also believe that my faith should not be placed in people but in the Lord. This reminder helps me stay grounded and focus on what truly matters.

When I start to worry, I remember Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” This verse reminds me to lean on God’s strength when I’m feeling uncertain or overwhelmed.

On the bright side, my relationship with God has been a huge help in seeing things differently. At first, I was frustrated by how the Bible often talks about men, but with time and study, I’ve started to understand it in a new way. I’ve also found supportive friends who share my values, which has been a blessing.

I’m also inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, which describes what real love looks like: “Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” This verse reminds me that love isn’t perfect but is about sticking together, even when things aren’t easy.

So, even though my relationship isn’t perfect, I’m grateful for all the good in it. I know we have things to work on, but I’m choosing to focus on the positives while accepting the challenges.

What about you? How do you find balance when something in your life feels almost too good to be true? Let’s be more open with each other—I’d love to hear your thoughts!
