Why I Created The Artist’s Way Christian Calendar 🌸💖

Why I Created This đź’•

I’ve been reading The Artist’s Way and honestly, I think it’s such a helpful book — especially if you’re feeling creatively blocked or just stuck in life. I used to be really into personal development, self-help, and mindset content. But when I really started walking with God, I became more careful about what I consumed — books, podcasts, even YouTube. I didn’t want anything pulling me away from the truth of God’s Word.

So at first, I was hesitant about this book — it’s often recommended by people in the self-help and manifestation space. But I realised: as long as I’m filtering everything through the Holy Spirit, I can eat the meat and spit out the bones. Anything that doesn’t sit right, I bring back to the Bible.

That said, The Artist’s Way has genuinely helped me reconnect with my creativity — and with the way God wired me.

How I Adapted It for Christians 🌸

The original book includes creative tasks, journaling, and practices like “morning pages” (writing three pages of free-flowing thoughts daily). But here’s what I did to make it my own:

  1. I replaced writing with voice recordings.
I’m more of a stream-of-consciousness speaker. So instead of writing pages every day, I’d just open a voice recorder and talk — like a diary entry. Sometimes I’d even listen back later and feel encouraged by hearing how far I’d come.
(If you’re like me, feel free to record instead of write. Do what flows naturally.)

  2. I infused it with scripture and Christian intention.
Some of the original prompts felt a bit “New Age,” so I swapped them out or reframed them through a biblical lens. I want to co-create with God, not the universe. Period.

  3. I created a day-by-day calendar version.
It’s broken down into daily guidance across the week (starting from Monday). You don’t have to do it every single day — just follow at your own pace. And it includes uplifting, Christ-centered affirmations, too.

Who This Is For đź’—

If you’re feeling stuck, uninspired, uncertain about your next steps…
If you’re praying, but still need clarity…
If you know God has placed creativity inside of you, but you’re not sure how to bring it out…

This calendar is for you. đź’•

It’s helped me hear God more clearly, grow in discipline, and rediscover joy in creating — not for validation, but for Him.

Final Note đź’Ś

I’ve shared a lot of Christian lifestyle advice and scriptures on the blog so far. But in this season, I feel led to share more practical tools for organisation, spiritual growth, and creative freedom. This calendar is one of them.

So if this blesses you, let me know! Tell me what God’s been showing you. Share how it’s helped or what shifts you’re noticing. I’d love to hear from you.

Speak soon,
Scherise. X
